The successes Polo has achieved in thirty years of business are the result of the great control carried out in the single production phases. In order to offer greater guarantees to its customers the company has adopted a certified Quality System where all production phases, from the arrival of the raw materials to the delivery of single products, are carried out in accordance with the H.A.C.C.P. self-control based standards.
Said regulations aim to ensure that all health and hygiene standards are respected, no longer through simple checks on finished products but through continuous monitoring of the production process. An additional guarantee of the control carried out throughout the company processes is given by the UNI EN ISO 9001:2000 certification: continuity of the cold chain, hygiene during processing, specific and accurate staff training, careful selection of suppliers and regular laboratory tests.
Other elements are also measured to define Polo’s quality standards: control of the glazing percentage on fish products, labelling and ingredient control, and behaviour of food during the cooking phase.
Polo has a Total Quality Management vision as regards the improvement of the organisation and the achievement of sustainable and long term competitive advantages; an example of this is the model adopted which has obtained recognition from the European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM) - Committed to Excellence, for the development achieved in organisation and management terms.
